BRANDING + CAMPAIGN
The Symposium is an indie rock band active since 2013 from Chicago, Illinois. Last summer, they did their first headlining tour across the USA. The tour was a success, but the band was missing out on opportunities to grow and strengthen their fanbase. With a new record on the way, I combined their design needs for the new album cycle and missed marketing opportunities into one project. The branding for the new record, Ultrasonic, leans further into the sci-fi themes the band has already been building upon in their music and visuals, which helps them stand out in an increasingly saturated indie scene. The typography, logo work, vinyl pressings, website, merchandise, marketing, and social media content all build on the world of Ultrasonic. This worldbuilding and visual storytelling play a crucial role in connecting with their target audience. The increased marketing exposure will bring in new fans, and the exclusive merchandise and engaging content will reward their dedicated fans for their support.
